Memorial Day...

Before piercing

It's memorial day...we had planned to go to Pasar Senggol(indonesian bazaar). But we decided not to cuz I had caught a cold & Jeffry had to work in the afternoon...The weather was nice...we just walked to the Westlake mall. Mama (Jeffry's mom), Jeffry, Anjeli, Parisha & I came upon Claire's (accessory store) and I decided to get Parisha's ears pierced. Before we got there...Parisha started gettin fussy. I guess she's sensing something. We sat her down on my lap...Mama started distracting her...I had to hold her hands and head. Even before the lady had pierced her ear...she started screaming. Everyone in the store started watching.

Then...*duuusss* the shot of the ear piercing gun...pierced through her ears...Parisha started turning bright red...It was sad to see her go through that..but..I had to do it before she gets older...then she'll start grabbing her ear....

This sucks!!

Arrrgggggggghh!!! My phone dropped in the bathtub while I was giving Anjeli a bubble bath..hhuuuuh....So the story goes like this:

I had put my cell phone in my pocket when I drove Yani to the bart station this morning. When I got home....I bathed Anjeli...we were playing with bubbles...then as I was picking her up after she finished I heard *blooooppp* !! Yaaaah....there goes my phone! I picked it up right away..took out the battery...and air dry it with a hair dryer (they say it works). after awhile it works buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuttt....my screen went blank...I wanted to cry. Because, I've just lost all the phone #'s I have in that phone!! That sucks!!! You all know how hard it is to get phone #'s from people. It turns out the phone that I had does not save #'s automatically into the SIM card.
Oh wells...what can I do?? Plus, the phone wasn't insured...which meansssss....I have to buy a new phone at regular price....

What also sucks is that...of all the days it could've happend..it happened today, when I had to pick up Zaky at the airport. Yani had given my cell # him to contact me when he arrives....yah udah, now...i'm still using my phone..but can't see who's calling and sometimes i can't dial out....*ghettooooooo* heheheh Good job Reka..ck ck ck....*sigh*

Happy Mother's Day

For all the mothers and godmothers out there...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! The weather was great...couldn't be any better for a great mother's day lunch. My brother & I took our mother and my mother-in-law out for lunch. Initially, I wanted to take them out for dinner...but my brother couldn't make it...because he had made plans to go to the Warriors game. It's just to bad that my dad couldn't make it...cause he had to work =(

So...we have decided to take them to Le Soleil..it's located in the Richmond District of San Francisco...to be specific it's on Clement Street. I've come here many, many times and it's one of my favorite Vietnamese/French cuisine. They have never failed to keep you satisfied with their food...from appetizer to entrees to desert. I had forgotten to take pictures of the food we had ordered...but our favorites are..(that i recommend)

Appetizer:

Vietnamese crepe: has a crunchy crust filled with bean sprouts, chicken, and prawns..with a side of their sweet & sour sauce

Shrimp Cakes: it's shaped into mini muffins with shrimp topping

Soup:

Hot & Sour Catfish: it has bean sprouts, pineapples, catfish, tomato, leeks (i think)

Entrees:

Five Spice Chicken

Lemongrass chicken

BBQ Beef

Mixed Vegetable & Tofu Curry

Crab meat Fried Rice

Noodles:

Crispy Egg Noodle topped with Chicken & Mixed Vegetable & Brown Gravy sauce

Dessert:

Fried Coconut Ice Cream

Deep Fried Bananas with Coconut Ice Cream (comes with 4 round pieces of bananas)

Anyway, that was our day....I hope all of you enjoyed your mother's day...

The Result

I had a OB appointment today...to find out the result of my CT scan. So, it turns out they had found something in my ovary. It was a cyst. I guess there's different types of cysts...i happen to have a dermoid cyst. They say it's common, but not life threatening, cause sometimes it just goes away without any surgery needed. At the moment my cyst is about a size of a dime...and the doctor feels it's not necessary to have surgery...because it's still quite small..

If we do the surgery...they're afraid it'll do more damage than good. She advised me to come see her in the next three month, have another CT scan and see how it goes from there...if it grows any bigger..then we'll go from there...

Sounds scary huh?? tell me about it....

CT Scan

7:00am:
If I'm not mistaken, I wrote in my previous blog that I will be having my CT scan today...I'm kinda nervous...Last night I had to drink one full bottle (225ml) of Barium Sulfate..it's a drink that cleanses out your system that you have to take a day before the CT scan...Actually, you have to drink 2 bottles. The other bottle I have to drink 1 hour before the exam. I don't quite like the taste...but what can I do..i had to take it....hope everything will be ok...

10:00pm:
The CT scan went well....it didn't take that long...only about several minutes. This was my 1st time having to take this scan. My OB wants to make sure what was seen in my ultrasound..
I didn't get my results today...it'll be tomorrow...

Another loss of a loved one...

Tante Netty

How do u cope with a loss of a loved one??? This year, we have loss two of our loved ones within 2 months...Oom Ujang & now, Tante Netty...they both passed due to cancer...they were both struggling for many, many years. In a way...it's a good thing that they are finally at their resting place. They really don't need to go through all that pain, chemo...and medications..after medications. They have suffered enough. But yet it's just really sad...they both were very much close to all of us...

Tante Netty had passed away late last night...Today, was her funeral service...I see Uncle Ceasar...then I see my aunt, Tante Ade. These are the two people who had loss their loved one....i can't imagine how hard it'd be to let go the one you love...to watch them take their last breath...but through it all I know they'll get through...especially knowing that their love ones are their angels...looking down and guarding them from up above....

So..i guess..what i'm trying to say is....keep the ones you love very close to you...show them how much you love them...enjoy every moment of the day whether it's good or bad...cherish it...because, sometimes you just never know.....

Mission Accomplished!!

At last...the day has come....a sigh of relief! Mission accomplished!!! Today was Yani's graduation...she had finished her masters program in finance @ GGU (Golden Gate University). Bener finance kan ibuuu?? Duh...gimana seh...i should know..hehehe. Sorry kalo salah ibuuuu. =P We were all there...Pandu, Ariya, Anjeli, Tante Yuli, Tante Vivi, Gema, Ani, & I.

That's a very big accomplishment in life...So...watching yani walk across the stage...i held my tears. Tears of joy...yet tears of sadness. I'm very very happy for ibu (yani)...but then, I started thinking...when will I ever walk across that stage??? Recieving that diploma....let's not go to far as in masters...at least a bachelors...that's what made me sad...

I've dreamt of that day...but life has turned differently for me...so hopefully...i will see that day....if not, I hope to see both of my daughters walk across that stage =) After we attended Yani's graduation...we were invited for lunch. A lot more people came for lunch...because, they couldn't attend the graduation...yani was only given 7 tickets. So, we ate @ Beijing Buffet. It is soooo good!

To ibu: Congratulations!!! I think I've said enough on that card...you're 75% thru...I'll always be here rooting for you till you reach 100% ;-) (hope you know what i mean) GOOO IBUUU!!!!
