Jadi ceritanya gini...
I've had a habbit of going to the bathroom in the middle of the night ato subuh2 gituh...At about 4am I woke up, I had the urgency to go to the bathroom...so, i did my deeds =P When i got back to bed, I started to feel stomach cramps like as if it was menstrual cramps...and i said to myself "ah..ini mungkin just Braxton hicks" but then it started to come every 15 mins...and lasts about 1 minute or so. But from 4am until 5am bawaannya pengen ke bathroom mulu...to go pee.
Pas ke bathroom @ 5am...I had bloody show. That's when it hit me...that i'm going into labor. Rasa panic iyah, nervous juga...yg pasti excited..the day is finally here! So, I woke Jeffry up & told him that i'm going into labor. I called up LD (Labor & Delivery) told them what i was experiencing....the nurse said dengan santainya "Oh...congratulations your going to be a mommy, you are @ your 1st stage of labor...but don't come in yet to the hospital"
Di dalam hati..I was like " Whattttt??!!! what do u mean i'm in my 1st stage of labor ... but i can't come to the hospital yet?? " Then the nurse said "we want you to keep on monitoring your contractions...once it's coming 5-10 mins...then come"

8.30am : my contractions finally came every 5-10mins...but at that point, the contractions weren't too painfull...masih bisa ketawa ketiwi gituh dirumah amah anak2....So, Steven & Bang Eja along with Jeffry of course took me to the hospital...mulai deh Jeffry telp kanan kiri...hehehe...including my cousin Olga. I'm quite lucky to have a cousin that works as a nurse in Labor & delivery di Kaiser =)

9.15am : Nurse checked me into the Triage room (temporary room) to make sure if my water broke, took my temprature, attached a fetal monitor to keep track of the baby's heart beat. It turns out my water had broke..when asked when...I don't know...i just told them...I've just been having urgency to go pee =P Remember this is my 1st pregnancy! The doctor & nurse started laughing...

10.00am : The doctor came back checked my cervix...wanted to see how many cm was i dialated. Turns out I was already 3 1/2 centimeters. Mulai deh di insert ivy-nya. I have needle phobia..I'm such a chicken...heheheh. When the ivy was inserted...it hurt soooo bad. And i asked will the epidural hurt as much?? the nurse laughed and just said, we'll see!

11.00am: O iyah..nama nursenya Mary-Jo..she came back in and asked me how i felt...and i said i'm doing just fine..but i'm a bit hungry. She also asked me how my contractions were feeling from a scale of 1-10...i said 5. Trus dia bilang...mau gak pain mediction Fentanyl..it's to ease the contraction pain..but it only last a couple hours...I said sure! Sapah seh gak mo?? Anything to ease the pain right??

11.30am : The nurse came with some food. Cheeseburger, watermelon,grapes, soup, salad, crackers, milk & orange juice. Reka disuruh makan kenyang2..soalnya once the epidural is inserted...gak boleh makan lagi. then 1/2 sesudah makan dikasih lah pain medicationnya. Buset deh!!! Side effectnya..ck ck ck...Rasanya tuh kayak abis minum 2 glasses of long island ice tea(i've never had 2 glasses of long island ice tea..just 1..hehehe) ...ngebuzz..bis ituh mual...dah gituh muntah deh. Nursenya santai ajah gituh liat Reka muntah...reka tanya..emangnya normal apah kalo kita lagi in labor..muntah2. She said YUP...it's not going to last that long...elo paling muntah cuman sekali ituh. But let me tell u...that pain medication works! I didn't feel any contractions until the anesthiologis gave me the epidural.

12.30pm: Finally, Reka dipindahin ke room Labor & Delivery. Reka masih ketawa ha ha hi hi sama nurse2nya...Then Tante Ade came to see me during her lunch break. She stayed about 1 hr or so...and told me that Olga will be coming soon with Oom Ujang. I said oke..I really appreciate that Olga came on her day off.

3.15pm: The day shift Resident (doctor) came and checked my cervix...I was already 6 centimeter dialated! Wow..that was fast! So she asked me .. are you ready for the epidural?? Of course I said yes! Supposedly, if you wait to late into your dialation...usually they would not administer the epidural procedure.

3.30pm: Dr. Islam (yes! that's his name...but he's not orang islam) the anestheseologist, came in...n kita ngalor ngidul gituh...I was sooo scared to get the epidural..I kept asking is going to hurt..is it going to hurt. But, Dr. Islam ngajak Reka ngobrol terus...and also explained to me what he was doing...tau2...he was done. The only thing he had asked me was where did I feel the epidural needle..toward the left , right or middle? I said middle. Then he said your set! Tapi sebelum epidural needlenya di insert...di suntik kebal dulu seeeeh...that had a little bit of a burning sensation. But it did't make me twitch...because if you twitch..they have to do it over again. Pas Dr. Islam udah selesai...I asked will this last until i give birth??? He started laughing...don't worry my dear all u need to do is press this button to add more dosage! SIIIPPPP!!!!

4.00pm: Olga & Oom Ujang arrived...along with Bang Eja & Steven (they had to run errands first after they dropped us off). We were chit-chatting for awhile..then about 5pm...bang eja cabut sebentar & told us to call him when i'm fully dialated. Cause the nurse & the doctor said...I'll probably be fully dialated around 3-4 hours...and i'm expected to give birth at around 9pm...

5.30pm: The evening shift doctor came in and checked my cervix again...and guess what??!!! She said, "Wow..that was fast!!! You're fully dialated of 10centimeters!!" I said "You're kidding right?? Just about 2 hours ago I was only 6 and the day shift doctor told me that I wouldn't be giving birth till around 9pm"
"Well it seems like your baby just can't wait to get out and see her mommy & daddy!!"
"I guess so!" i said
Jeffry called Bang Eja to let him know...& when he called, Bang Eja thought Jeffry was joking..hehehe...cause he didn't expect it to be soon...and that he had just left...heheheh...so he rushed back.

5.45pm: I started pushing...the epidural was awesome!!! I did not feel any contractions through out my labor! But you do feel pressure di "bawah" as if you need to take a BIIIIIIIGGGGG DUMP! That's the only way i can describe it. My cousin Olga changed her outfit too to help me push. Then, satu2 dateng...Tante Yuli & Oom Andre dateng, abis ituh...Tante Vivi & Oom Ming...then Tante Ati & Oom Sol...Yani came as fast as she can...and also Pandu. Believe it or not...they were all there in the room! =P
Jeffry was helping me push too by counting...Jadi, kalo lagi ngepush..harus hold your breath and push until ten counts. Pas udah bebrp push...the nurse gave me ice chips to munch on and Jeffry was feeding it to me and helping me push...trus dia juga help count sampe 10....gak tau yah...namanya dia juga nervous...lucu ajah...Jeffry mulai count..." 1.....2.....3...4....5.....7...8..." Trus Reka sembari push...i can't help but laugh!!! I said " Lho...sayang...where did number 6 go???" Everyone in the room started laughing so hard...hahahaha...
They said...Reka kamu gila yaaah...lagi serious nge-push sempet2nya ngeh!

7.33pm: Alhamdulillah...after 1 hour & 40 minutes of pushing...Anjeli lahir. I must say..the last 10 minutes of pushing was a bit torchering...soalnya epiduralnya udah mulai wear out! Jadi mayan sakiiiittt.....i told the doctor that i wanted to push the epidural button..but the doctor said that it's already tanggung cuz the baby is almost out!
If someone was to ask me how it feels to give birth...it's undescribeable!! Kalah deh of the feeling of getting married! huehuehuehue....To hold your baby for the 1st time after carrying it for 9 months...to hear your baby cry...see it's 10 little fingers...& 10 little toes....Everyone in that room got emotional...
So...my total hour of delivery is about 10 hours.

9.30pm: Sophia, Kak Novy, Andry, Dede, Antos & Shinta came to visit...kita photo2....
11.00pm: The nurse took off my Ivy...took off the epidural tube...and took off the pee bag. Oh...the tube that they inserted to go pee..Let me tell you, it's the most uncomfortable feeling in the world!!!! Then they moved me to a regular room...got me settled in...
Jeffry & I decided to name our baby: Anjeli Puti Shabira Elviano

What does it mean??
Anjeli = Anak yg Jelita or Angel , Puti = Princess (i passed down my middle name to her) , Shabira = Yang Sabar in Arabic, Elviano = Jeffry's last name.
Thank you...thank you...to everyone that prayed for this delivery to be lancar...amiiiiiinn...also thank you soooo much...to those who've supported me & gave me that extra strength in the delivery room (you guys know who u are)....Bang Eja, thank you bro...for lookin out for me during my last days before giving birth while Jeffry was @ work...and Steven, thank you so much Mr. Camera Man..hehehe...you did a good job! Jeffry couldn't do it without you!

I Love you all...
